The Bistro at Brookdale Estate is once again offering their Thursday Fire & Wine evenings with EC Gary Coetzee and his team. This mid-week dining experience consists of a simple grilled dish, based on the theme of that week, with a range of side dishes (charged extra) and a complimentary glass of wine from the Mason Road range.

Diners will find Chef Gary behind the grill. The theme of the meal changes weekly, with dishes ranging from burgers & chips, to steaks, prawns and more. Fresh ingredients are used, including produce sourced locally to provide a conscious balance of choice for meat lovers and vegetarians alike.

The Mason Road range, from which the complimentary glass of wine is chosen, includes a Shiraz, the GSM red blend of Grenache, Syrah, Cinsault and Petit Syrah, as well as a Chenin Blanc and the Serendipity Rosé.

Accommodation is available in the Manor House on the estate. Brookdale is offering its Hibernation bed and breakfast rate of R7000 per room per night until 30 September 2024, and on Thursday nights it will include the Fire & Dine dinner at the Bistro on a complimentary basis. The Bistro is open for lunch from Wednesdays to Sundays and serves dinner on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings. Adjacent to The Bistro, the Tasting Room is open daily from 11:00 to 17:00 (closed on Mondays and Tuesdays), offering visitors the opportunity to taste wines grown on the estate, vinified by winemaker Kiara Scott Farmer.
