Best baristas battle it out in Wiese Coffee Barista Championship

 PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT at Wiese Coffee Holdings where baristas from Wiesenhof and Café Dulce battled it out for the title of Best Barista and Latté Art Champion. The contest was held at Morrico Imports Exports in Parkhurst, Johannesburg. Wiese Coffee Holdings is the holding company for Wiesenhof Roastery, Wiesenhof Franchise and Dulce Café Franchise. Morrico were the major sponsors with their Black Eagle espresso machines and Mythos grinders.  All the competitors were coached by Wiese’s National Beverage Trainer, Khulekani Mpala.

Barista Championships

Winner – Thandiwe Shonhiwa (Wiesenhof ABSA Towers)

1st Runner-Up – Sibongile Nkadimeng  (Wiesenhof Makro Vaal)

2nd Runner-Up – Faith Sibindi (Dulce Café Life Wilgeheuwel)

Latté Art Championships

Winner – Mqondisi Dube (Dulce Cafe Life Bedford)

1st Runner-Up – Thandiwe Shonhiwa (Wiesenhof ABSA Towers)

2nd Runner-Up – Karabo Dihashu (Wiesenhof Life Eugene Marais)

A Cup Tasters competition was held at Wiese Coffee Holdings Head Office before the barista finals. The results were:
